K-Trade only imports and distributed quality products and many of the supplier companies of K-Trade guarantee a warranty, which in some cases far exceed the warranty regulations of the countries of origin.
The supplier companies of K-Trade are very solid brands and usually very generous with repairs and replacements – but, due to some bad experiences with consumers, who seemed to damage products on purpose or seemed to abuse them, or use them very rough and then wanted a repair or replacement, we have to limit these warranty terms as following:
The warranty, guaranteed by the supplier companies of K-Trade, refers to normal use.
The warranty usually covers faults in the process of fabrication and defects of the material.
It does not cover extensive use, after which any product will break after a while and it does not cover cases of abuse or seemingly intentional damaging of products.
There are limitations for professional use also, visible under the warranty regulations of the respective brands.
K-Trade reserves the right to reject a repair or replacement, if it appears that the damage of a product does not come from a defect in the process of fabrication or a defect of the material, but if it appears that the products was damaged intentionally or was abused or used very rough or is a victim of normal wear and tear.

Our guarantee for defects which can be attributed to insufficient or defective processing of materials used by us covers the time period of 5 years from the date of purchase.

How can we afford this? Since 1987 we are continually improving our products. Our company philosophy is constructing and producing carriers that last. We do not take calculated risks. This means that before a product even comes into production it has to pass an extremely hard test procedure. Our procedures are far more demanding then the official standard for bicycle carriers.
That’s why tubus carriers do the job as good as they do. Furthermore tubus carriers are made of CrMo tubes for maximum strength and durability. Indestrucable carriers.
That’s why we can afford to have our special mobile guarantee. Any part that breaks on a tubus carrier within the first 3 years after date of purchase will be replaced the same day by express to any place on earth, for free!

Manhattan Portage offers a Limited Lifetime Warranty against all manufacturing defects.
What does this mean? Generally, a manufacturing problem will occur before the bag is a year old, however there are exceptions. A bag that begins to fall apart after a few years of use is just a victim of normal wear and tear. While our bags do last a long time, nothing last forever, not even a Manhattan Portage Bag. Examples of normal wear and tear after a few years that are not covered are fabric abrasion, zipper wear, and foam breakdown. Don’t worry though; by the time any of this happens you should be ready for a new Manhattan Portage bag.
Please note that machine washing, drying, or removing your Manhattan Portage Logo will void all warranties. Bags returned for warranty service will be replaced at the discretion of Portage Worldwide, Inc.

LIMITED TWO (2) YEAR WARRANTY
We warrant that this umbrella will be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of two (2) years from the date of purchase (the “Warranty Period”). If, during the Warranty Period, this umbrella proves to be defective during normal use, we will remedy the defect by either repairing or replacing the umbrella or any of its defective parts, at our option. The remedy of the defect will only be done when sending us the product postage prepaid.
